About us – 2017 [Archived]

This website has been produced and is supported by a range of pharmacy organisations including PSNC, the National Pharmacy Association, the Company Chemists’ Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We are all committed to developing the community pharmacy service to enable pharmacies to offer a wider range of high quality services for the benefit of patients and the NHS.

psnc-rgb PSNC (the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee) promotes and supports the interests of all NHS community pharmacies in England. We are recognised by the Secretary of State for Health as the body that represents NHS pharmacy contractors. We work closely with Local Pharmaceutical Committees to support their role as the local NHS representative organisations. Please visit psnc.org.uk for more information.
The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) is the representative body of independent community pharmacies across the UK. Independent pharmacies are a local lifeline and essential to the health of the nation.  They are responsive to need, community focused and characterised by strong relationships between patients, public, staff and the communities they serve. Please visit npa.co.uk for more information.
The Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) provides a forum for the large businesses engaged in community pharmacy to work together to help create an environment where pharmacy can flourish and providers compete in a fair and equitable way. Established in 1898, the CCA has eight member companies: Asda, Boots UK, LloydsPharmacy, Wm Morrison Supermarkets, Rowlands Pharmacy, Superdrug, Tesco and Well. Between them, CCA members own over 6,500 pharmacies representing almost 50% of the pharmacies in the United Kingdom. Please visit thecca.org.uk for more information.
